Spectacular setting, cozy and private
The Boothbay area is so appealing, with intriguing harbor views, quaint houses, shops and eateries. This property, uniquely situated right on the water, affords wonderful views from every room. Because the weather was so inhospitable, we spent less time exploring the area than we normally would, so having a warm, comfortable cottage to hole up in was appreciated. We did venture out to photograph a couple of lighthouses and had some top-notch dining experiences — Boathouse Bistro, Thistle Inn, Brass Compass (in Rockland). When we travel, my husband and I usually are most interested in: a comfortable bed, privacy, great views, as well as proximity to birding, hiking, and other nature-oriented activities. Seanook delivers in each category. Birding from every room was a wonderful bonus. When we return for a warmer, sunnier experience, I’m sure we’ll see spectacular sunsets also.

Comfortable cottage in a beautiful location
This cottage is welcoming and comfortable and is literally on the water. The tides go in and out on 3 sides of the house making it feel like you are a part of the ocean. Waterfowl abound, and the views are spectacular. Relaxing, peaceful and surrounded by natural beauty. The owners are very thoughtful and helpful with any questions you might have. Lots to do in the area no matter what season.
Breathtakingly beautiful views
You truly are surrounded by the ocean. You can sit at the kitchen table, on the couch, or lay in bed and stare at the ocean. A relaxing cottage, with beautiful views of the ocean.

Heaven on earth!
Oh, this place is something else!!! We were fortunate enough to be able to stay here during the spectacular color show in mid-October. This is New England at its most glorious. Tucked among a wooded lot and nestled off the watery inlet, this lovely place is wrapped in floor to ceiling windows on three sides so that no matter where you turn, your heart is warmed by the sight. AND Mary Ellen and Ron have thought to answer every need and dressed this place in such wonderful little details that one really feels cared for here. Whether it is for a night or a season, if you are contemplating a perfect retreat, Seanook is your best bet!

Exceptional Experience in Maine
We spent most of the month of December at Paradise Cottage on Paradise Point in East Boothbay, Maine. Nothing short of an idyllic experience – tranquil views of Linekin Bay, breathtaking sunsets, soaring seabirds, and star-filled night skies. Inside, we were warm, cozy and comfortable. The cottage is well designed and includes a large master bedroom as well as an inviting second bedroom, and thoughtfully placed, large windows positioned to capture expansive views of the bay and surrounding woodland. The space is kept in immaculate condition and well equipped. The owners, Ron and Mary Ellen, are lovely and readily available. We will return to Paradise Cottage for two weeks in July and to one of their other properties on Paradise Point – Seanook – in December. We highly recommend checking-out Seanook as well! Both Paradise Cottage and Seanook present unique opportunities to experience Midcoast Maine at its best!

Cozy beach-side cottage with postcard view
Our destination was Boothbay Harbor, ME, and their festival of lights and Gardens Aglow events, so we were looking for a cottage with a view of the water and not too far away. Well, we ended up an easy 4-mile drive away in East Boothbay, ME, at Ron & Mary Ellen’s “Paradise Cottage.” This cottage has two nice-sized bedrooms, two bathrooms, washer and dryer, full kitchen, and wonderful heat sources that kept us toasty during the gorgeous snowstorm that came while we were there. (Ron has also installed a backup generator in case the power goes out, which we did not have to test out.) Check out their website for a very thorough listing of everything else they have to offer–A+ for that! Ron and Mary Ellen were so helpful and gave us fantastic suggestions for places to eat, things to do, and sights to see. They were always available via phone or text if we had questions about our itinerary or things in the cottage. We hope to return to stay in this cottage, but in the meantime, we will recommend it to all we know!

Perfect Coastal Cottage
Perfect location perched on a hill with wonderful views of the bay. The gardens are beautiful, the hot tub is perfect, and the sunsets will leave you breathless. The house is equipped with everything needed for a relaxing and memorable vacation. This was our second visit, and we plan many more!

Paradise Cottage!
This is a great rental. The house is well set up for great views and convenience. It has amenities that you never even knew you needed on vacation. The area is quite, close to shopping, touring and restaurants. We had a great stay and Mary Ellen and Ron are great to work with.
